Memorial Day, 2007: Peace vigil.
Fourth of July, 2007: Antiwar awareness demonstration.
Members walked up and down Main Street in Cheboygan
with peace signs.
Labor Day, 2007. Members from several Northern Michigan
peace groups met on the south side of the Mackinaw Bridge
to make a showing for peace.
International Day of Peace, September 21,2007: Thirty-three
people joined our peace vigil in front of the Cheboygan
County Building. We displayed peace signs and flags
to emphasize the importance of nonviolent activities to resolve conflict. |

PLANET EARTH, OUR ONLY HOME:
All day workshop April 19th, 2008 Thanks to
Darryl Brown (Emcee), Brenda Archambo (Climate Change), Dale
Giddings (Reducing yourFood Footprint, Janet Enos (Recycling), David Dwyer
(Reducing Your Home Energy Footprint,
and Richard Riker (It’s More Than Carbon).
Spring Into Action, April 27th, 2007: At this all-day workshop,
we gave presentations on The Cost of War, The War
Profiteers, The dangers of Nuclear Power and Nuclear
weapons, and the Concerns of Veterans
Summer Action Film Series, Summer, 2007. Every Wednesday
(6-8 PM) we presented a film or video on a social justice topic
at the Cheboygan Public Library. In September of 2007, the
group formally presented these films and videos to the Cheboygan
Public Library. These films are now available for public use.

On
Saturday, April 28, 2007, we met with Representative Bart Stupak at his Town
Meeting in St. Ignace. We discussed issues concerning the quality of the
great lakes water, the waste of lives and money caused by the occupation of
Iraq and the
need to abolish nuclear weapons.

publish the Broadside, a broadsheet
newspaper containing information of local interest and perspectives on non
violence
We write letters to our
local newspapers on issues of social justice and nonviolence.
